Ask a Question

Question: What temperature should I autoclave the molar band seater. (I bought the one that has a plastic handle) Thank you

Answer: As long as you have the professional bite stick (811-002, the stick with the metal insert), you can autloclave the unit at your normal autoclave temperature. The handle isn't plastic, it's made from liquid crystal polymer. Most autoclaves peak at 273 F or 134 C which is well within the limits of the appliance.

Question: What is the heat tolerance of this Blue Bite stick? Can it be used in a heat sterilization oven?

Answer: The blue material is a liquid crystal polymer, and is autoclavable. Most autoclaves peak at 273 F or 134 C which is well within the limits of the appliance. We do NOT recommend using dry heat to sterilize the bite stick.
